2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve.
  2. Fig 1: Identifying EGR Valve Assembly

  3. Remove the two EGR valve retaining nuts (1).
  4. Remove the EGR valve (2).
  5. Remove the gasket (3) from the EGR valve adapter bracket.
  6. Clean the EGR valve adapter bracket of dirt and debris.
