  1. Coat the threads with sealer P/N 9985253 or equivalent.
  2. Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

    Install the ECT sensor (3)

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the ECT sensor to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  3. Connect the ECT electrical connector to the bracket (1).
  4. Connect the ECT harness connector (2) to the ECT sensor (3).
  5. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
