2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the CKP sensor.

    Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

  3. Install the CKP sensor retaining fastener.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the fastener to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.

  7. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines) in Engine Electrical.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10. Perform the CKP system variation learn procedure. Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation LearnΒ .
