2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery) .
  2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Non-Luxury) or Knee Bolster Replacement (Luxury) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the instrument panel (IP) auxiliary storage compartment, if equipped. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  4. Remove the ashtray. Refer to Ashtray Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  6. Push on the clips behind the auxiliary storage compartment. Pull down in order to release the module.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
