- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery) .
- Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Non-Luxury) or Knee Bolster Replacement (Luxury) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the instrument panel (IP) auxiliary storage compartment, if equipped. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the ashtray. Refer to Ashtray Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Push on the clips behind the auxiliary storage compartment. Pull down in order to release the module.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
