Intake Manifold Lift & Support Procedure (3.0L): Installation
2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Installation

- Remove debris screen from spacer plate. Verify correct hose routing (PCV hose to ventilation chamber). Remove tie up, or support from intake manifold assembly. Position intake manifold to spacer plate and cylinder heads. Connect small PCV hose at throttle body. Reposition electrical harness onto intake manifold assembly.
- Connect and throttle body electrical connector. Install rear electrical harness bolts to manifold. Install purge line and connect purge valve onto manifold. Connect purge nut at rear of intake manifold. Install 5 upper manifold bolts (1/4" drive T-30 with a 6" extension can be used to gain access to bolts).
- Tighten upper intake manifold-to-spacer bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ . Install lower intake manifold bolt under throttle body assembly. See Fig 3 . Tighten lower intake manifold-to-spacer bolt to specification.
- Install intake manifold cover. See Fig 2 . Connect electrical connector to intake runner control solenoid. Install outlet resonator/duct bracket assembly into position. Install outlet resonator bracket to intake manifold nuts. Tighten outlet resonator/duct assembly bracket-to-intake manifold nuts to specification.
- Install outlet resonator/duct assembly into position. Tighten clamp at throttle body assembly. Position outlet resonator/duct assembly to support bracket and install bolts. Tighten outlet resonator/duct assembly-to-support bracket bolts to specification.
- Tighten clamp at air cleaner assembly. Connect negative battery cable. Tighten negative battery terminal bolt to specification.
