2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Removal Procedure

On pickup models, the dome lamp is located on the roof panel above the rear glass.

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Squeeze the dome lamp lens in order to remove the lens.
  3. Remove the dome lamp bulb.
  4. Remove the screws that retain the dome lamp base to the center high mount stoplamp from inside the vehicle.
  5. Remove the dome lamp base from the vehicle.
