Installation Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Align the lower trim panel push-in retainers to the inner panel.

    Important:  Position the seat belt through the slotted opening between the upper and lower trim panel.

  2. Install the lower trim panel by applying pressure on the panel to secure all of the push-in retainer locations.

  3. Install the bolts to the lower trim panel at the cargo tie down locations.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the rear upper quarter trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER UPPER (AZTEK)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER UPPER (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  5. Install the rear seat belt. Refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  6. Install the endgate sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
