Throttle Body: Installation
2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Installation

- Remove shop towel from throttle body opening. Install throttle body gasket. Install throttle body and bolts. Tighten throttle body bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Connect throttle body electrical connector. Install outlet resonator/duct assembly. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET RESONATOR/DUCT ASSEMBLYΒ . Turn on ignition for one minute while the engine control module automatically relearns the throttle position.
- Remove shop towel from throttle body opening. Install throttle body gasket. Install throttle body and bolts. Tighten throttle body bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Connect coolant hoses to throttle body and unclamp hoses. Connect PCV fresh air and vacuum hoses. Connect throttle body electrical connector. Install outlet resonator/duct assembly. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET RESONATOR/DUCT ASSEMBLYΒ .
- Connect negative battery cable. Tighten negative battery terminal bolt to specification. If the throttle body assembly has been replaced, an automatic relearn procedure must be completed by the engine control module. Do not depress the accelerator pedal assembly during this procedure. To complete the relearn procedure, turn ignition to run position for one minute. Reprogram preset radio stations and reset clock to correct time.
