Ignition Coil Housing: Installation

2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Installation

  1. Ensure the interconnect and seal are lined up before module installation. Install the Ignition Control Module (ICM) in the ignition coil housing. See Figure.
  2. Install the ICM retaining bolts. Tighten retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  3. Connect the ICM harness connector.
  4. Install the ignition coil housing to the camshaft cover.
  5. Install the ignition coil housing retaining bolts. Tighten the retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  6. Install the accelerator and cruise control cables bracket.
  7. Install the accelerator and cruise control cables bracket bolts. Tighten the retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  8. Install the accelerator and cruise control cables to the bracket.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
