Front Brake Hardware: Installation

2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Installation

  1. Lubricate the bores, the inside part of the bolt boot and the caliper pin bolts with GM P/N 18047666, or equivalent.
  2. Press the NEW caliper pin bolt boots into the caliper pin bores.
  3. Install the brake caliper bracket. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER BRACKETΒ  .
  4. Install the brake pad retainers to the caliper bracket.
  5. Install the brake pads to the caliper bracket.
  6. Remove the heavy mechanics wire and install the brake caliper. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPERΒ  .
