2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKETΒ  .
  2. Remove the front seat trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEATΒ  .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors, as required.
  4. Unfasten the J-retainer on the outboard side of the seat cushion cover.
  5. Slide up the sewn side of the cushion cover up in order to expose the recliner/seat back attachment.
  6. Remove the roll pins from the hinge supports and the recliner.

    Discard the roll pins.

  7. Remove the recliner to seat frame pivot bolts.
  8. Remove the front seat back from the front seat.
