2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Pull the upper edge of the front bumper fascia forward and install the front bumper fascia upper support.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the front bumper fascia upper support to the headlamp mounting bracket bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the front bumper fascia to upper support bolts to 7 N.m (61 lb in).

  3. Install the front bumper fascia upper support to the center radiator support bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the upper support to center radiator support bolts to 7 N.m (61 lb in).

  4. Install the top center bolt (by the hood latch) on the front bumper fascia.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the upper support to center radiator support bolts to 7 N.m (61 lb in).

  5. Install the push-in retainers on the top of the front bumper fascia
  6. Reposition the right and left air baffles and install the push-in retainers.
