Press and hold the season odometer reset for greater than 3 seconds. If the vehicle is in PARK the instrument panel cluster (IPC) will send a class 2 message to the body control module (BCM). Upon receipt of this class 2 message the IPC illuminates the program mode indicator in the message center. This indicator remains illuminated until the IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM to turn this indicator off or the IPC receives a class 2 message from the powertrain control module (PCM) indicating vehicle speed is present.
