2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.

  3. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel ReplacementΒ .
  4. Remove the retaining screws (2, 3) from the steering wheel rear bezel.
  5. Remove the steering wheel rear bezel (1).

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  8. Insert a small, blunt-ended tool into the access hole in the back of the steering wheel. Push the switch out of the steering wheel.
