2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the radio.

  2. Align the radio locator tab (1) into the locator hole.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the radio retaining screws.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the radio retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate.

    Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  5. Recalibrate the new radio assembly.
