2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the coaxial cable connector to the radio.
  2. Connect the electrical/audio connectors to the radio.
  3. Install the radio to the I/P.

    Important:Β  If the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.

  4. Align the radio control locator tab to the I/P locator hole while carefully pressing the radio into the I/P until fully seated.

  5. Install the radio screws.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the radio screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  6. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (AZTEK) , TRIM PLATE BEZEL REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (AZTEK) or TRIM PLATE BEZEL REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (RENDEZVOUS) .
  7. Perform the radio set-up procedure. Refer to RADIO SETUPΒ  .
