2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the luggage carrier side rails to the roof.
  2. Install the luggage carrier side rail screws to the luggage carrier.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the luggage carrier side rail screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  3. Lift up on the luggage carrier cross rail levers in order to engage the cross rails into the side rails.
  4. Slide the luggage carrier cross rails to the desired position.
  5. Release the levers on the luggage carrier cross rails to lock them into position.

  6. Install the luggage carrier side rail trim covers to the slots in the rails, pressing into place until fully seated.
