2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper door trim panel (1) located above the door trim panel.
    1. 1.1. Use the J-tool to release retainer at the top of the panel.
    2. 1.2. Lift the panel up to remove.
    3. 1.3. Disconnect the wire harness from the tweeter.

  3. Remove the sound barrier.
  4. Remove the door trim panel to gain access to the power mirror wire harness. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front DoorΒ .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Remove the mirror fasteners.
  7. Disconnect the wire harness from the retainer clip and unseat the grommet.
  8. Remove the mirror from the door.
  9. Pull the wiring harness through the hole in the mirror patch.
