2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Diagnostic Procedure

  1. If SIR Diagnostic System Check has been performed, go to next step. If SIR Diagnostic System Check has not been performed, go to SIR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKΒ .
  2. Install scan tool. Use scan tool to request SIR DTC display. If scan tool displays DTC B1001, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Replace SDM. See SENSING & DIAGNOSTIC MODULE (SDM)Β  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  4. Reconnect all SIR components. Ensure that all components are properly mounted. Go to SIR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKΒ .
