Water Pump Replacement - L81: Installation

2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Installation

  1. Clean and block at water pump mating surface.
  2. Install new water pump O-seal to water pump.
  3. Install water pump assembly.
  4. Install water pump bolts.

    Torque: 

    Water Pump Bolts - 6-Cyl: 25 N.m (18 ft-lbs)

  5. Install front timing belt cover. Refer to TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT .

  6. Fill coolant.
