Repair Instructions: Support: Removal

2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo Extended, 5.7 R, L31/KL8SECTION Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear tires and wheels.
  3. Remove the exhaust pipe.
  4. Disconnect the brake lines from the rear suspension support. See REAR BRAKE HOSE .
  5. Disconnect the parking brake cables and tensioner from the suspension support. See PARK BRAKE CABLE .
  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the rear suspension support. See STABILIZER SHAFTΒ .
  7. NOTE: Support the rear suspension support with jack stands before removing the mounting bolts.
