- Turn steering wheel to place vehicle wheels in straight-ahead position. Turn ignition off and remove key. Remove SIR fuse (10-amp) from fuse block, located in junction block in center console. See Figure.
- If disabling passenger side impact air bag module only, go to step Β 6. If disabling other air bag system, complete all remaining steps.
- Remove driver-side insulator panel. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from driver-side air bag module connector. See Figure. Disconnect driver-side air bag module connector.
- Remove passenger-side insulator panel. Remove CPA clip from passenger-side air bag module connector. See Figure. Disconnect passenger-side air bag module connector.
- Remove CPA clip from driver side impact air bag module connector, located under driver seat. See Figure. Disconnect driver side impact air bag module connector.
- Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from passenger side impact air bag module connector. See Figure. Disconnect passenger side impact air bag module connector.
