Ground Circuits

The Electronic Control Module (ECM) is located under right front cowl on 2.2L engines or on left rear of engine on 3.0L engines. Check ECM connectors for corroded or loose connections. Repair as necessary. Disconnect ECM connectors. Using DVOM, measure resistance between negative battery terminal and ground terminals at ECM harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in affected ground circuit. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, ground circuits are okay.
