- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove fuel injector sight shield. Drain cooling system. Disconnect necessary harness connectors. Remove air inlet duct from throttle body. Disconnect control cables from throttle body.
- Disconnect left-bank spark plug wires from distributor and position aside. Disconnect coolant hose from throttle body. Remove EVAP canister solenoid valve. Remove ignition coil bracket with coils attached. Disconnect necessary vacuum hoses and remove vacuum harness.
- Remove side and rear generator brackets. Remove EGR valve. Remove MAP sensor and bracket. Remove upper intake manifold retaining bolts. Remove upper intake manifold and gasket.
