- Disconnect master window switch assembly connector. Disconnect left window motor connector. Connect an ohmmeter between master window switch assembly terminal "E" and left window motor connector terminal "A" (Dark Blue wire). See Figure . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, go to step 8 .
- Connect an ohmmeter between master window switch assembly connector terminal "A" and left window motor connector terminal "B" (Brown wire). If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, go to step 9 .
- Connect an ohmmeter between master window switch assembly terminals "E" and "G" (component side). If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, go to step 10 .
- Connect an ohmmeter between master window switch assembly terminals "A" and "G" (component side). If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, go to step 10 .
- Connect a test light between ground and master window switch assembly connector terminal "H" (Yellow wire). See Figure . Turn ignition switch to ACC position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 11 .
- Connect master window switch assembly connector. Connect a test light between ground and left window motor connector terminal "A" (Dark Blue wire). Press left window switch on master window switch assembly to UP position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 10 .
- Connect a test light between ground and left window motor connector terminal "B" (Brown wire). Press left window switch on master window switch assembly to DOWN position. If test light illuminates go to step 12 . If test light does not illuminate, go to step 10 .
- Repair open in Dark Blue wire between master window switch assembly connector terminal "E" and left window motor connector "A". See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Repair open in Brown wire between master window switch assembly connector terminal "A" and left window motor connector terminal "B". See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Replace master window switch assembly. See WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Repair open in Yellow wire between master window switch assembly connector terminal "H" and splice S229. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- If no mechanical problems or binding exists in operation of window regulator, replace left window motor. See WINDOW MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
