Installation Procedure
2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise to release the spring tension. See Figure.
- Install the drive belt.
- Position the fender liner to the front fender. Install the push-in retainers. Install the screws from the fender liner to the fender. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in). Install the screws to the front fender liner to the front bumper fascia. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tighten wheel lug nuts in a criss-cross pattern to 140 N.m (100 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
CAUTION:
Tighten wheel lug nuts evenly and alternately in order to avoid excessive runout.
