2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise to release the spring tension. See Figure.
  2. Install the drive belt.
  3. Position the fender liner to the front fender. Install the push-in retainers. Install the screws from the fender liner to the fender. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in). Install the screws to the front fender liner to the front bumper fascia. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
  4. CAUTION: Tighten wheel lug nuts evenly and alternately in order to avoid excessive runout.
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tighten wheel lug nuts in a criss-cross pattern to 140 N.m (100 lb ft).
  6. Lower the vehicle.
