Installation Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the camshaft cover and bolts. See Figure.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the camshaft cover bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the ground strap. See Figure.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the ground strap bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the ignition coil and module assembly. See Figure.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the ignition coil and module assembly bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the brake booster hose/pipe to it's bracket.
  5. Install the fuel line bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fuel line bracket bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the accelerator and cruise control cables bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the accelerator and cruise control cables bracket bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
