Fill Line Union (Check Valve): Installation

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation

  1. Install the fill line union (check valve) using NEW "O" ring face seals. Lubricate the "O" rings with petroleum jelly, or equivalent. Tighten the fill line union fittings to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  2. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  3. Connect the three harness connectors and the HPL harness connector.
  4. Start the engine. Check for CNG fuel leaks at each serviced fitting using the Combustible Gas Detector (J 45878).
  5. Slip the tank vent boot over the union. Tighten the boot clamp to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  6. Install the tank vent boot cover. Tighten the tank vent boot cover nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  7. Install the fuel tank cover.
