Output Shaft: Installation

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation

Inspect the output shaft (57) splines for burrs or damage. See Fig 1 . Inspect the snap rings (56) for over expansion. Install the snap rings (56) onto the output shaft and install the output shaft (57) from the channel plate side of the transaxle. Install the differential carrier. See DIFFERENTIAL CARRIERΒ  . Install the left drive axle.
