Fuel Rail & Injectors: Removal

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE (CNG)Β . Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Remove CNG fuel module assembly. See CNG FUEL MODULE ASSEMBLYΒ . Remove fuel rail bracket. See Fig 1. Disconnect pressure regulator vacuum hose. Remove fuel rail. Pull up on injector connector clip and disconnect harness connectors from injectors. Remove fuel injector retaining clips. Remove fuel injectors. Remove fuel injector "O" rings.
