2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (PONTIAC)Β  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (CHEVROLET)Β  .
  2. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOORΒ  .
  3. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE REPLACEMENT - INSIDEΒ  .
  4. Remove the rear door lock screws.

  5. Remove the rear door outside handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE ROD ADJUSTMENT - FRONT OUTSIDEΒ  .
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector to the power lock, if equipped.
  7. Remove the door lock.
  8. Remove the inside handle rod, and lock rod from the lock.
