Removal Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal Procedure

Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (PONTIAC) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (CHEVROLET) .
Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR .
Remove the inside door handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE REPLACEMENT - INSIDE .
Remove the rear door lock screws.

Remove the rear door outside handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE ROD ADJUSTMENT - FRONT OUTSIDE .
Disconnect the electrical connector to the power lock, if equipped.
Remove the door lock.
Remove the inside handle rod, and lock rod from the lock.
