- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the positive battery cable.
- Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt and retainer.IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
