2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDUREΒ  .
  2. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
  3. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt and retainer.
    IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
