2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lower BPMV bracket (2) to the vacuum brake booster (1).
  2. Connect the master cylinder (5) to the vacuum brake booster (1).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the master cylinder attaching nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the master cylinder attaching nuts to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  4. Install the EBCM/BPMV assembly (4) to the lower BPMV bracket (2). Refer to BRAKE PRESSURE MODULATOR VALVE (BPMV) REPLACEMENT  .
  5. Perform the ABS AUTOMATED BLEED PROCEDURE  .
  6. Perform the DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - ABS  .
