Installation Procedure
2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

- Install the ignition switch (3) to the steering column (1).NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the retaining screws (2) to the ignition switch (3).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (36 lb in).
- Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT (WITHOUT KEY) or IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT (WITH KEY) .
- Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT .
- Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
