2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel ReplacementΒ  .
  2. Fig 2: Left Hood Latch & Bolts

  3. Mark the perimeter of the latch using a grease pencil.
  4. Remove the bolts attaching the latch.

  6. Remove the cable from the push-in retainer attaching the cable sheath to the wheelhouse panel.
  7. Disconnect the cable sheath grommet from the latch.
  8. Disconnect the cable end from the latch.
