2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical/audio connector to the rear speaker.
  2. Install the rear speaker into position.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the rear speaker retaining screws.

    Finesse the rear compartment side trim panel carefully upward, rearward and outward slightly to access the upper speaker retaining screw.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the rear speaker retaining screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  6. Install the push -in fastener (in the lower corner of the speaker opening) retaining the rear compartment side trim panel.
  7. Insert the rear speaker grille lower retaining tab into position.
  8. Raise the speaker grille and align the locking tabs.
  9. Carefully push the tabs in to lock.
  10. Close the rear lift window panel.
