2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering knuckle (4) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle.
  3. Install the bolts (3) and the nuts (6) attaching the steering knuckle (4) to the strut (2). Tighten the nuts (6) to 180 N.m (133 ft lbs).
  4. Install the hub and bearing assembly.
  5. If the vehicle is equipped with ABS, connect the ABS electrical connector.
  6. Install the tie rod to the steering knuckle.
  7. Install the tire and wheel assemblies.
  8. Inspect the front wheel alignment. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
