Installation Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the windshield wiper switch (2).
  2. Install the windshield wiper switch (2) to the column (6).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the retaining screw to the windshield wiper switch (2).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the screw to 4 N.m (36 lb in).

  4. Install the multifunction switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal Switch Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  5. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. Ensure that the windshield wiper switch (2) functions properly.
