2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the hood close out filler panel. Refer to Hood Close Out Filler ReplacementΒ .
  2. Remove the hood latch cover. Refer to Hood Latch Cover Replacement.Β 
  3. Remove the hood latch. Refer to Hood Latch ReplacementΒ .
  4. Disable the air bag sensor. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 1 .
  5. Remove the lower bolts (4) from the lower hood latch support.
  6. Remove the upper bolts (2) from the hood latch support.
  7. Remove the hood latch support (1) from the vehicle.
