- Tie the wire or string to the hood release cable.
- Install the hood primary latch release cable through the hole in the instrument panel.
- Install the hood release cable through the instrument panel using a small flat-bladed tool until the grommet is fully seated.
- Remove the wire or string from the hood release cable.
- Install the hood latch release cable ball to the latch.
- Install the hood latch release cable handle to the hinge pillar.
