CAUTION:
When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
- Open and support the hood.
- Remove the support from the hood rod retaining clip (1).
- Use a small, flat-bladed tool to lift up the retainer clip (1).
- Use a small, flat-bladed tool to remove the hood hold open rod (2), by prying outward.
- Remove the hood hold open rod retainer bushing by pulling outward.
