2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

- Install the front seat back (1) to the front seat cushion (5).NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the front bucket seat back pivot bolt (3).
Tighten:Β Tighten the pivot bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Install the front bucket seat recliner bolts.
Tighten:Β Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Install the outer trim panel on the seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel ReplacementΒ .
- Fasten the wire harness to the cushion frame for the SIAB, if equipped.
- Fasten the lumbar cable to the cushion frame, if equipped.
- Install the lumbar actuator to the cushion frame, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Replacement - Front Seat (Pontiac)Β .
- Align the lumbar knob to the splines on the actuator, if equipped.
Press the knob onto the actuator until fully engaged.
- Install the front seat. Refer to Seat ReplacementΒ .
- Enable the SIR system, if equipped with SIAB. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 or to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in SIR.
