Installation Procedure
2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

- Feed the sunroof drive cable through the copper drive tube.
- Install the sunroof drive tube retainer with the copper drive tube into the track end.
- Install the sunroof track and lifter arm assembly into the module frame.
- Feed the sunroof drive cable through the plastic return tube.
- Align the track parallel to each other with 666 mm between the left and right track at the front and rear of the track.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the sunroof track screws.
Tighten:Β Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
- Install the sunroof cable wear plate (14).
- Install the sunroof tube retainers to the motor bracket (10).
- Install the rivet to the sunroof tube retainer.
- Verify that the forward glass adjustment screw hole in the lifter arm is aligned with the small hole in the cable cam assembly. If required, push the lifter arm or the cable cam forward to align the two holes.
- Install the sunroof motor/actuator (7). Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator ReplacementΒ .
- Tie wrap the drive (6) and return tubes (5) together.
- Install the sunroof module assembly. Refer to Sunroof Module Assembly ReplacementΒ .
- Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window ReplacementΒ .
- Install the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Panel ReplacementΒ .
