The rear compartment lid release solenoid is controlled by the body control module (BCM). The BCM supplies battery positive voltage to the rear compartment lid release solenoid control circuit when the keyfob trunk release button is pressed. When the rear compartment lid release solenoid control circuit is open or shorted to ground while the BCM is commanding the rear compartment lid release solenoid on, DTC B3267 is set.
