Installation Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel filler pipe.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the fuel filler pipe attaching screw to the under body.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the fuel filler pipe attaching screw to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the fuel filler hose.

  4. Position the fuel filler hose clamp at the fuel tank and fuel fill tube.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the fuel tank filler hose clamps to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Install the fuel filler pipe retainers to the fuel filler pipe access panel.

  7. Install the fuel filler cap.
