2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the high mounted stop lamp.
  3. Remove the bulbs/sockets (1) from the high mounted stop lamp.

  4. Remove the bulbs from the sockets.
  5. Remove the rear window panel trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf in Interior Trim.
  6. Pull the high mounted lamp (2) forward to disengage it from the retaining slots (3).
  7. Remove the high mounted stop lamp from the rear shelf lifting up and out.
