Installation Procedure
- Position the filler panel over the wheelhouse panel and behind the fender wheel opening flange.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the bolts attaching the filler panel to the wheelhouse panel.
Tighten
Tighten the filler panel to the wheelhouse bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the bolts attaching the fender wheel opening to the filler panel.
Tighten
Tighten the fender wheel opening to the filler panel bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the bolts attaching the filler panel to the frame rail bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the filler panel to the frame rail bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the filler panel to the lower fender flange bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the filler panel to the lower fender flange bolt to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
