2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Important:  Clean any existing oxidation from the contact face of the battery terminal and battery cable using a wire brush before installing the battery cable to the battery terminal.

  1. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the battery negative terminal bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  2. Unlock the Theftlock® radio (if applicable).
  3. Program the radio stations back into the radio as recorded at the beginning of the procedure.
  4. Set the clock to the current time. Refer to RADIO/AUDIO SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION in Entertainment.
