2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Diagnostic Aids

The following conditions may cause an intermittent:

  • Intermittent short to ground or open in Dark Blue wire between BCM and back-up light relay.
  • Poor connections at BCM, underhood electrical center, or back-up light relay.
  • Internal open or short in back-up light relay.

If Dark Blue wire between BCM and back-up light relay is shorted to ground, back-up lights will stay on at all times. If Dark Blue wire between BCM and back-up light relay is open, back-up lights will stay off at all times.

When to See a Mechanic
