2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal Procedure

- Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
- Remove the lower pinch bolt from the intermediate shaft. Refer to INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the front suspension crossmember. Refer to FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the power steering gear mounting bolts (3).
- Remove the power steering gear (1) from the front suspension crossmember (2).
